PVNC celebrates Pink Shirt Day
Feb. 22, 2023
Today, schools celebrated Pink Shirt Day, in their best pink attire.
The theme for this year’s Pink Shirt Day is “lift each other up”, a simple but powerful message encouraging us to look beyond our differences and celebrate the things that make us unique. When we lift each other up, we see beyond the things that separate us and see instead the things that unite us as people; we can see how our differences are beautiful.
In 2007, they bought and shared 50 pink shirts after another student got bullied for wearing a pink shirt on the first day of school.
Staff and students across the Board took part today as they wore their pink and took part in activities that focused on the conversation of bullying and how we can lift each other up as a community.
#PinkShirtDay today to remind us to choose kindness and stop bullying. We had our assemblies to prepare yesterday. 💗💗💗 #LiftEachOtherUp #PVNCInspires pic.twitter.com/aHhsBelxLA
