Parents, guardians, and community members are invited to volunteer in our schools. The school principal manages the volunteer program, and he or she will consider the skills, knowledge, past and background experience, personal interview results, and references to find a good fit for each potential volunteer.
The principal will provide orientation for volunteers, which may include a tour of the school, introduction to staff, and an orientation workshop. Volunteers will also receive information about expectations and relevant school rules and procedures.
Note that all volunteer candidates must provide a criminal records check and vulnerable sector check.
