Kindness Week 2026: Echoes of Change (Feb. 23–27)
Feb. 20, 2026
From Feb. 23–27, 2026, the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington (PVNC) Catholic District School Board will observe Kindness Week 2026, building momentum toward Pink Shirt Day on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026.
This year’s theme, “Echoes of Change,” reminds us that kindness works like a sound wave. One positive word or action can ripple outward, creating an echo that transforms an entire school. While bullying creates negative echoes, kindness creates a frequency that lifts everyone up.
Throughout the week, students will be invited to move from being passive bystanders to active “echoers” of positivity.
Highlights of the Week
Monday – The First Sound
Students will set the tone for the week by choosing intentional acts of kindness—greeting someone new, signing a pledge wall, and reflecting on how one small action can spark change.
Tuesday – Amplifying Voices
Activities will focus on inclusion and listening. Students will be encouraged to connect with new peers and reflect on how we can ensure every voice is heard.
Wednesday – Pink Shirt Day: Echoes of Change
Staff and students will wear pink as a visible stand against bullying. Through school-wide activities and shared moments, we will demonstrate that when we stand together, kindness becomes powerful and loud.
Thursday – Resonating Together
Students will extend gratitude to the “quiet helpers” in our school and participate in activities that strengthen our sense of community.
Friday – Future Frequencies
We will close the week by making personal commitments to continue the echo of kindness beyond Kindness Week.
Join Us
We encourage all students and staff to wear pink on Wednesday, February 25. If pink isn’t available, a pink accessory or sticker will help show support — because it’s the spirit of the day that matters most.
