Holy Family CES Choir opens Josh Bailey Classic Hockey Tournament

The Holy Family Catholic Elementary School Choir proudly performed O Canada during the opening ceremonies of the 4th annual Josh Bailey Classic Hockey Tournament, held in Bowmanville from February 5–8, 2026.

Hosted by the Clarington Toros, the tournament welcomed teams from across Ontario and Quebec, with players ranging in age from 10 to 13 years old. 

“The choir, led by Ms. Martin and Ms. Schaffeler, sang beautifully and was an excellent representative of PVNC Catholic,” said Angelo Costa, Holy Family CES Principal. “Way to go Holy Family Choir!”

Adding to the sense of community pride, the tournament director, Cassie Mathers, is also a member of the Holy Family CES staff.

The choir’s busy performance schedule continues next month, as they are set to sing at an Oshawa Generals game on Friday, March 20, 2026.
