Immaculate Conception CES hosts first “Living” Wax Museum
Feb. 23, 2026
On Feb. 13, 2026, Immaculate Conception Catholic Elementary School in Peterborough became a hub of history, learning, and creativity as its grade 6, 6/7, 7, and 8 classes hosted the school’s first-ever “Living” Wax Museum.
Each participating class selected a theme aligned with their studies. The grade 6 and 6/7 classes highlighted Influential Canadians, grade 7 students focused on Catholic Saints, and grade 8 explored Canadian Olympic Athletes. More than 100 remarkable individuals were represented, from historical figures to modern-day icons.
Students dove deep into research, crafting first-person biographies to bring their chosen figures to life. On museum day, they dressed as their characters and shared engaging monologues that narrated the stories of these famous Canadians and saints.
The event drew students, families, and members of the school community, who toured the museum and enjoyed hearing each presentation.
