IMPORTANT NOTICE: First Student Bus Strike ends

A tentative agreement has been reached in contract negotiations between First Student and Unifor, the union representing the company’s Bowmanville school bus drivers in Clarington and Northumberland, following three days of strike action.

Busing for all students will resume as usual on Monday, March 26.

Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board is pleased that both sides have been able to reach a tentative agreement. Bus drivers do an excellent job transporting our students safely to and from school each day and we are happy that they will be able to return to work on Monday.

We recognize the inconvenience that this labour distribution caused families. We would like to thank parents, families and all of our affected school communities for the patience and cooperation exhibited this week.
