Everyday Heroes: Ashleigh Faulkner and Cameron Morin
We are honoured to present this week’s Everyday Heroes for the 2022/23 school year. Last year, we recognized 60 colleagues nominated by their peers for the dedication they have to their school community.
Every week we celebrate PVNC staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague as an Everyday Hero. Every school and every department in our Board has an Everyday Hero who expresses their kindness, courage and love through simple, ordinary actions that uplift the lives of the people around them and the students we serve. An Everyday Hero is a caring adult, an empathetic colleague, somebody who simply makes going to work each day worthwhile.
This week we are celebrating Ashleigh Faulkner and Cameron Morin.
|Ashleigh is an Administrative Assistant for the Superintendent of Learning/Student Success at the CEC. Ashleigh was nominated by a colleague, who said:
“Ashleigh is one of the hardest working people I know. She is extremely dedicated to doing her job well and always willing to help out where it is needed. She has a knack for lightening the mood with humour and can get a smile out of just about anyone. Her friendly, patient and warm-hearted personality is an inspiration to us all. ”
||Cameron is a CASA Teacher at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School. Cameron was nominated by a colleague, who said:
“Cameron is a compassionate educator who teaches from his heart. His calm and guiding pedagogy allow his students to feel safe to explore, experience challenges and make connections. Through his actions and words he strives to create an environment of respect where relationships and belong are valued and encouraged. I am inspired and blessed to work along side such a great educator. ”
We would like to thank Ashleigh and Cameron for their commitment to creating a culture of faith, hope and love to ensure equity and well-being at our board.
