Everyday Heroes: Alison Bolton-Arial and Katelyn Taylor
We are honoured to present the first Everyday Heroes for the 2022/23 school year. Last year, we recognized 60 colleagues nominated by their peers for the dedication they have to their school community.
Every week we celebrate PVNC staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague as an Everyday Hero. Every school and every department in our Board has an Everyday Hero who expresses their kindness, courage and love through simple, ordinary actions that uplift the lives of the people around them and the students we serve. An Everyday Hero is a caring adult, an empathetic colleague, somebody who simply makes going to work each day worthwhile.
This week we are celebrating Alison Bolton-Arial and Katelyn Taylor.
Alison Bolton-Arial
Alison is an EA at St. Francis of Assisi CES. Alison was nominated by a colleague, who said:
“Alison is an amazing EA, who goes out of her way to make students feel accepted and loved. Her students love her kindness and calm nature. Alison is a great friend and co-worker who is always there to listen or to make you laugh with a corny joke. She gives her all everyday, especially during Friday dance parties.” |
Katelyn Taylor
Katelyn is a Secretary at St. Anthony Port Hope CES. Katelyn was nominated by a colleague, who said:
“The staff at St Anthony put together a few words that we think best describe our wonderful Secretary Katelyn Taylor. She is described as calm, efficient, helpful, welcoming, the glue – holds everything together even amongst our busiest days. The list goes on to include, patient, caring, she is awesome and possibly a magician. She just makes things happen! St. Anthony is blessed!” |
We would like to thank Alison and Katelyn for their commitment to creating a culture of faith, hope and love to ensure equity and well-being at our board.
