STSCO offering First Rider Program
Will your children be riding a school bus for the first time this September?
They can learn about bus safety and take a ride on a bus at STSCO’s First Rider program.
All young school bus riders and their families are welcome to attend STSCO’s annual First Rider programs.
The event locations in each municipality are pending. Any changes to this event will be announced on the STSCO website www.stsco.ca.
Bowmanville: Clarington Central Secondary School, 200 Clarington Blvd., Bowmanville ON
Cobourg: Northumberland Mall, 1111 Elgin St. W, Cobourg ON
Peterborough: Lansdowne Place, 645 Lansdowne St. W, Peterborough ON
Dates: Friday, August 26th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, August 27th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Each session lasts approximately 20 minutes and includes a safety video and a 10-minute bus ride for children and parents. Registration is not required.
The First Rider program is offered by Student Transportation Services of Central Ontario (STSCO) and local school bus operators. STSCO transports students from the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board, the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board, and the Conseil Scolaire Catholique MonAvenir.
