St. Mary CES Grafton students put their stamp on winter with “Paint a Plough”

The Township of Alnwick/Haldimand invited St. Mary Catholic Elementary School in Grafton to take part in its “Paint a Plough” initiative. 

Mr. Doris’ Grade 7 class partnered with their reading buddies in Mrs. Mitchell’s Grade 1/2 class to design and paint a winter plough on behalf of the school.

Their artwork reflects the Township’s strategic theme, Moving Forward Together. 

The finished plough will be in service throughout the winter, proudly showcasing the students’ creativity to the community. 

In fact, it’s already been spotted clearing Grafton’s main street during the community’s first snow day on November 10!
