St. Joseph Douro students take part in Warsaw Remembrance Day ceremony

Students from Grades 2 to 8 at St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School in Douro attended Remembrance Day ceremonies in Warsaw, ON on Nov. 11, 2019 continuing a long-standing tradition.

Community members were pleased to see the students who have not been able to attend the past two years as Remembrance Day fell on a Saturday and Sunday. Prior to that, students attended the ceremony for more than 10 years.

Students read prayers and laid wreaths during the ceremony, which was attended by political dignitaries, war heroes and community members.
