Royals earn 2nd place finish at Ontario Tech University Robotics Competition

Members of the Royals Robotics Team at St. Stephen Catholic Secondary School placed second overall at the Ontario Tech University Robotics Competition on Nov. 16, 2019.

The school also won the sportsmanship award for the competition, which featured 60 high school teams.

For more than 10 years, Ontario Tech’s Engineering Robotics Competition has provided a forum for elementary and high schools to compete in a fun and engaging autonomous robotic competition using a LEGO® MINDSTORMS® robot kit. Students apply science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts to their creations as they prepare to face-off against other teams from across the GTA and Durham Region.
