St. Catherine CES Student Council chasing away winter blues
Mar. 6, 2025
It’s been quite the snowy winter in the Peterborough area this year.
That’s why the St. Catherine Catholic Elementary School Student Council organized a week of fun to chase away the cold weather winter blues and bring warmth and energy to the school community.
They did it through a creative lineup of spirit days including a neon day, wacky accessory day and PJ day.
“Student council members also organized face painting and headband decorating for the entire school to brighten up smiling faces,” said Julianne Charette, St. Catherine CES Principal. “ We finished the week with a school picture outside in the sun.”
The excitement reached its peak with an 80s dance party, where students hit the dance floor to energetic music, channeling the vibrant, retro vibes of the 1980s – some 40 years ago.
