St. Alphonsus CES celebrates new playground

St. Alphonsus Catholic Elementary School in Peterborough celebrated a new playground addition in early November.

The Catholic School Council has been leading fundraising at the school for five years to improve the playground equipment. Every Halloween, the school has hosted a dance-a-thon featuring prizes donated by school council members and families.

GE Canada and St. Alphonsus Knights of Columbus both generously donated $1,000 to the playground addition.

“On behalf of the Catholic School Council, thank you to all families, students, faculty, corporate partners, Knights of Columbus, the school Board and principal Ryan Brooks for making this possible,” said Catholic School Council Chair Dawn Hennessey.
