Spring Math Fair at St. Mary CES in Lindsay added up to an evening of learning and fun

It was an evening of learning, laughter and problem-solving at St. Mary Catholic Elementary School in Lindsay.

The school held its Spring Math Fair which featured a variety of hands-on interactive activities including math puzzle stations.

“We are grateful to everyone who participated and the staff that went above and beyond to organize this evening and make it such a fun night for everyone,” said Joanne McDermott, Principal.

Each family received a Math Passport to guide them through the stations with participants collecting stamps as they completed activities.

Once the passport was completed, their name was entered into a draw.

“Spring Math Night was more than just an educational event—it was an opportunity to come together as a school community, have fun and celebrate our love of math,” added McDermott.

Students took the lead in volunteering by running stations, explaining puzzles and encouraging younger participants.

“Their enthusiasm, confidence, and kindness were truly inspiring and helped make the event run smoothly,” McDermott said.
