School flags at half-mast for National Day of Observance for COVID-19
March 11, 2021,
Today you will notice all flags at our Board office and schools are flying at half-mast from sunrise to sunset to mark the National Day of Observance for COVID-19.
One year ago, we were getting ready for March Break. Then came the announcement that all schools would be closing. So much has taken place since then as this global pandemic has impacted our families and communities in so many different ways.
We ask all our staff and school communities to take a moment today to reflect on the past year. We offer thanks and prayers to all those who have tirelessly worked to keep our students safe, healthy and learning throughout this challenging year and whose work will get us through the next months to a time beyond COVID-19.
