PVNC launches 2023 United Way Campaign

Today, we’re pleased to officially launch the 2023 PVNC United Way Campaign! The campaign runs from today until Friday, Dec. 8, 2023.

We are happy to return as the co-chairs to this board-wide campaign. Each year, we are inspired by the generosity of our PVNC staff.

Take last year, for example, PVNC Catholic combined to raise just under $57,000 for our four local United Way agencies.

Remember, it’s now easier than ever to donate using our United Way Payroll Deduction Form.

To kick off our launch, we’re asking every PVNC Catholic staff member to take a minute (well, three minutes to be precise) to view this direct donation plea from Director of Education Stephen O’Sullivan.

“As dedicated educators, administrators, and support staff, we go above and beyond to create an environment in our schools and classrooms that is secure and welcoming, and we all strive to be that caring adult in the lives of our students,” O’Sullivan said.

“But it’s often the issues facing our students outside the confines of the classroom that weigh heavily on our minds. Issues like food insecurity, housing affordability, domestic abuse, and all the indignities that poverty inflicts.”

Our goal is to raise $60,000 board-wide in support of the critical, life changing services that the United Way funds in our communities.

Each school will once again have a United Way coordinator and we look forward to seeing all the creative ways that schools choose to fundraise.

We know there are many ways to donate, but we’re asking permanent employees to please consider a payroll donation, which provides consistent, reliable funding to the United Way agencies in our jurisdiction.

Our United Way Payroll Deduction Form is the easiest and most convenient way to give to support our campaign. Note, you must use your PVNC email account to fill out the form. For occasional employees or for those who wish to make a contribution in another way, please email: [email protected].
