PVNC Catholic to celebrate Safe, Inclusive and Accepting Schools Week

Safe, Inclusive and Accepting Schools Week is November 18-22, 2024

As we approach Safe, Inclusive and Accepting Schools Week, the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington (PVNC) Catholic District School Board is reaffirming its commitment to creating nurturing educational environments where every student can thrive.

This initiative, which aligns with the Ministry of Education’s Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week, is an opportunity for our school communities to engage in meaningful activities that promote safety, inclusivity, and acceptance.

Building on the successes of previous years, Safe, Inclusive and Accepting Schools Week will feature five thematic days, each focusing on different aspects of inclusivity and safety:

• Pilgrims of Hope – Monday, Nov. 18

• • • A day dedicated to fostering hope and understanding among students and staff.
      

• Cyber Safety – Tuesday, Nov. 19

• • • This theme emphasizes the importance of online safety and responsible digital citizenship.
      

• I Belong – Wednesday, Nov. 20

• • • A celebration of diversity and the message that every student has a place in our school community.
      

• Connecting Your Dots – Thursday, Nov. 21

• • • Encouraging students to recognize and appreciate the connections they share with their peers.
      

• Building Bridges – Friday, Nov. 22

• • • A focus on creating connections across different groups within our schools, promoting unity and respect.

Schools and individuals are encouraged to use the hashtags #TogetherWeBelong and #PVNCInspires in their posts, helping to amplify our message and foster a sense of community online.
