PVNC Catholic Hosting Parent/Guardian Engagement Session: Supporting the Transition Between Elementary and Secondary School Mathematics

The Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington (PVNC) Catholic District School Board is pleased to offer the second of a three-part engagement series to empower parents/guardians to foster math learning at home.
This parent/guardian outreach is part of the Board’s Math Achievement Action Plan to boost math support inside and outside the classroom. The virtual sessions are free and open to any parent/guardian who registers.
Session 2 – Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Topic: Supporting the Transition Between Elementary and Secondary School Mathematics
Target Audience: Parents/guardians of Children in Grades 6-9
In this interactive session, parents/guardians of students in grades 6, 7, 8 and 9 will receive information on the Destreamed Grade 9 Course and how best to support their child in transitioning to high school and attaining success throughout high school. Tips and strategies for effective transitions will be provided from secondary staff.
