PVNC Catholic hosting parent/guardian and staff session on human trafficking

The PVNC Catholic Safe Schools Department in partnership with Victim Services of Durham Region is hosting a parent and caregiver education session on human trafficking. It is intended for all PVNC Catholic parents, guardians, grandparents, staff and caregivers to help them keep our kids safe.

Description: Kate Moore, Human Trafficking Prevention Facilitator with Victim Services of Durham Region, will be presenting a workshop that empowers parents, caregivers, and community members with psycho-education on human trafficking to prevent youth from being trafficked. In this session participants will learn more about how youth are targeted, factors putting youth at risk, how to identify signs of trafficking and more.

When: Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Where: In person at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Elementary School in Newcastle or join virtually to the simultaneous livestream (Note: participants must register to receive the livestream link).
