Outdoor Air Quality Update – June 7, 2023

We wanted to provide parents/guardians with an update on outdoor activity at schools in response to ongoing air quality concerns in our region.

Based on the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) projections, all regions of the board are expected to continue experiencing high risk (7+) levels tomorrow. 

As a result, all schools boardwide will continue to host recess and physical education classes inside. 

As was the case today, schools will be reviewing extracurriculars and class trips scheduled tomorrow on a case-by-case basis to determine if they can safely proceed during this period of time. The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority.
