Holy Cross CSS annual cake auction serves up a slice of sweetness for World Autism Awareness Day

Those with a sweet tooth had a chance to quell their craving on Wednesday (April 4) at Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School.

The annual World Autism Day Cake Auction was held inside the school’s cafetorium. There, numerous cakes dripping with sugary icing and candies were on display.

Students and staff ogled the delights before participating in a live auction headed by physical education teacher Bond Bjorgan.

The auction was held as a fundraiser for Alternative Community Supports to help make local programming more affordable and accessible for Holy Cross students from the school’s CASA and Learning for Life programs. The event is held annually to recognize World Autism Day.
