Everyday Heroes: Amy Pagett, Kerry Saltern, and Christopher Paige
We are honoured to present this week’s Everyday Heroes for the 2023/24 school year.
Our everyday heroes are the epitome of compassion, devotion and care, transforming everyday tasks into extraordinary impacts.
Their subtle yet powerful actions not only elevate the experiences of colleagues but also enrich the lives of the students we proudly serve. They are more than just supportive adults or empathetic peers; they are the vibrant pulse of our educational community, profoundly touching the lives of all they encounter.
Our everyday heroes come in all forms, quietly making a difference in our schools and board offices, yet very often they overlook or downplay their own actions.
This week we are celebrating Amy Pagett, Kerry Saltern, and Christopher Paige.
Amy Pagett
Amy is a Temporary Secretary at St. Catherine CES. Amy was nominated by a colleague, who said:
“Amy is a bright and welcoming presence in our busy office. She greets everyone with a smile, is always ready with a funny joke, and takes the time to create personal relationships with staff and students. Her job goes beyond the office and she can often be found helping with the snack program, walking a student wherever they need to be, or helping to trap the raccoon on our yard. Yes, really. No matter what I need or when I come in, she never makes me feel like my presence is an intrusion and she always takes the time to help me. We are so blessed to have had Amy at St Catherine’s this year!” |
Kerry Saltern
