COVID-19 outbreak declared over a St. Paul CES in Peterborough
Dec. 1, 2021,
The following letter has been sent to staff and families at St. Paul CES informing the school community that the COVID-19 outbreak at the school has been declared over.
Dear Parents/Guardians and Staff,
I am pleased to inform you that Peterborough Public Health has declared the COVID-19 outbreak over at St. Paul Catholic Elementary School.
Fourteen full days have elapsed since the last positive case was at the school. Ministry of Health guidelines indicate that the school meets criteria for declaring the outbreak over.
As always, we continue to follow all public health and provincial recommendations, including thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all areas; frequent and proper handwashing by everyone in the building; wearing masks; maintaining physical distancing to the fullest extent possible, and following any other steps directed by Peterborough Public Health.
We continue to ask all students and staff to complete the daily self-assessment for symptoms before arriving at school: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Natalie Bittner
Principal
