Check your school support status and help strengthen Catholic education

Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington (PVNC) Catholic District School Board is encouraging families, staff, and community members to verify their school support designation to help protect and strengthen Catholic education in our region and in Ontario.

Many people assume they are registered as Catholic school supporters if they send their children to Catholic schools or work in the system — but that’s not always the case. School support can default to the public system, especially if you’ve recently moved, rent your home, or haven’t reviewed your status in a while.

Designating support for Catholic education ensures your ability to vote for Catholic school trustees in the 2026 municipal election and contributes to funding and planning decisions based on community support.

You can check and update your designation through the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) online or by submitting a paper form, available at any PVNC Catholic school.

To confirm your current designation, contact your local municipal office. Changes can also be made at polling stations on election day, October 26, 2026.
