St. Anne CES takes part in Franco-Ontarian Flag celebration
About 115 St. Anne Catholic Elementary School students gathered at Peterborough City Hall on Monday, Sept. 25 to celebrate the Franco-Ontarian Flag.
The annual celebration recognizes the history of Franco-Ontarians and the pride that this community continues to thrive in Ontario.
The St. Anne CES students joined students from l’École catholique Monseigneur-Jamot in the ceremony.
“This is a great sign of the French community in Peterborough coming together as one to celebrate its Franco-Ontarian history and growing presence in our city,” said St. Anne CES vice principal Michael Moriarty.
