Oct. 22, 2020,

Today, PVNC is pleased to officially launch the 2020 PVNC United Way Campaign!

It’s 2020, so much like everything else in our lives, we’re going to have to adapt and do things a little differently this year.

For starters, we’re launching virtually. And there won’t be any physical pledge forms sent to schools. Instead, we’re excited to introduce our first ever online United Way Payroll Deduction Form. Every permanent employee can now donate to their local United Way campaign with a few clicks of a button.

Our new United Way Payroll Deduction Form makes it easier than ever to give to your local United Way campaign. Note, you must use your PVNC email account to fill out the form. For occasional employees or for those who wish to make a contribution in another way, please contact [email protected] for a fillable PDF pledge form for your area United Way campaign.

We’re asking each and every PVNC staff member to take five minutes to view this direct plea from Director of Education Michael Nasello about the significant challenges COVID-19 has created in our communities, which impact our students and families and the critical services that help support healthy communities.

Thanks to your generosity, last year our family of schools combined for a total of more than $60,000! We achieved this by increasing the amount of employees donating via payroll deductions at the school level and board office.

We know there are many ways to donate, but this year in particular, we’re asking permanent employees to please consider a payroll donation, which provides consistent, reliable funding to the United Way agencies in our jurisdiction.

As Michael said in the launch video above, the need in the communities we serve has never been greater. Let’s strive to surpass last year’s total as a Board. For the price of a single Starbucks coffee per paycheck, you can make a mighty difference in the lives of the most vulnerable people in your school communities.

Thank you for taking on the challenge of raising funds for this worthy cause and for your support and commitment to this year’s campaign. We’ll be sharing some important messages from our four area United Way campaigns and updating you on the campaign goal progress in the days and weeks to come.
