PVNC Catholic Hosting Parent/Guardian Engagement Session: Supporting Your Child’s Mathematics Learning Through Knowledgehook

The Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington (PVNC) Catholic District School Board is pleased to offer a three-part engagement series to empower parents/guardians to foster math learning at home.

This parent/guardian outreach is part of the Board’s Math Achievement Action Plan to boost math support inside and outside the classroom. The virtual sessions, which are free and open to any parent/guardian who registers, will take place in October, February and April.

Session 1 – Thursday, October 17, 2024 – 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Topic: Supporting Your Child’s Mathematics  Learning Through Knowledgehook 

Target Audience: Parents/guardians of Students in Grades K-8

This session will help parents/guardians understand how children learn math and how to develop a positive mindset about mathematics. Parents/guardians will receive tips, strategies and learn about the Knowledgehook platform, which children can use at home. Parents/guardians will learn how to best support their child with math extra practice and how to develop a positive “mathitude” using Knowledgehook.
