RESCHEDULED: PVNC Catholic Hosting Parent/Guardian Engagement Session: Supporting Your Child with the Primary, Junior and Grade 9 Math Assessment

Apr. 14, 2025

The Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington (PVNC) Catholic District School Board has rescheduled the third of a three-part engagement series to empower parents/guardians to foster math learning at home.

This parent/guardian outreach is part of the Board’s Math Achievement Action Plan to boost math support inside and outside the classroom. The virtual sessions are free and open to any parent/guardian who registers.

Session 3 – Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Topic: Supporting Your Child with the Primary, Junior and Grade 9 Math Assessment

Target Audience: Parents/Guardians of Students in Grades 3, 6 and 9

Parents/Guardians often have many questions about the Education Quality Accountability Office (EQAO) Assessments. This interactive session will explore EQAO Math questions in grades 3, 6, and 9 and explain how EQAO is administered, while providing parents/guardians with practical tips and strategies on how to best support their child(ren) in feeling ready for the assessment. A team from EQAO will lead this session.
