A variety of child care programs are offered in our schools. These programs range from Extended Day Programs for Full Day Kindergarten Students, Before and After School Programs for 6-12 year olds, and Full Day programs offered in childcare centres. The programs are operated by licensed not-for-profit child care organizations. The hours, costs and services provided at each site vary. (Information on each of these Child Care Organizations, their pricing, hours of operation, and registration details can be found on each organization’s website.) Most programs are offered from 7:00 a.m. to morning bell, and from afternoon bell to 6:00 p.m.

Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care – Information
The Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) system is a five-year plan to reduce the cost of child care to an average of $10 per day by 2026. Each municipality is working with the provincial government to implement this program for families with eligible children. Currently, all third-party licensed child care providers in PVNC schools are a part of the CWELCC system, offering reduced fees for children 0-6 years.
Child Care Fee Subsidy Program and CWELCC
