LINK Student Conference makes an energetic return at St. Stephen CSS

It was a sea of colourful t-shirts in the gymnasium of St. Stephen Catholic Secondary School in Bowmanville on Tuesday.

Students and staff leaders from all six Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington (PVNC) Catholic District School Board’s secondary schools met to discuss and plan for their LINK leadership teams.

The primary goal of these teams is to welcome and support students as they transition into each secondary school in Grade 9.

Senior students (Grade 11 and 12) are encouraged to get involved to be role models, motivators and student mentors to these new secondary school students by becoming LINK leaders.

The event, which was the first LINK Student Conference in several years, featured speeches, games and smaller group activities.
