This Lenten season, Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School in Courtice stepped up in a big way to make a global impact.

Through a partnership with Soles4Souls, the school collected 1,620 pairs of gently used shoes to support the organization’s mission of turning shoes into opportunity.

The initiative at Holy Trinity CSS was spearheaded by the school’s yoga class, which organized and coordinated the entire shoe drive—from collecting donations to arranging the final delivery.

“Holy Trinity CSS always goes above and beyond to support communities on a local and global scale,” said Daniela Conforti, Principal. “I am very proud and thankful for the collective effort and the generosity that has been shown.”

Soles4Souls distributes donated shoes to entrepreneurs in developing countries, helping them build sustainable businesses and lift themselves out of poverty.
