The Ontario Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Colleges and Universities have provided new resources to help students and families make the most of secondary school experiences and plan for the future.
Volunteer Hours
The Ministry of Education offers guidance on turning the 40-hour volunteer requirement into meaningful opportunities. Students can learn how to showcase their volunteer experiences for job applications, postsecondary programs, and more. There is also information on the Minister’s Certificate of Recognition for Community Involvement, which celebrates students’ contributions to their communities.
