Giving Back: St. Mary CES in Campbellford marks Advent Season with annual lunch

One week before Christmas Day, the gymnasium at St. Mary Catholic Elementary School in Campbellford was transformed into a dining hall complete with tables covered in wrapping paper.

On one side of the room, students lined up to get turkey, ham, vegetables and mashed potatoes from the St. Mary CES Catholic School Council (CSC) and parent volunteers.

“This annual tradition of enjoying a meal together is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to join together and fellowship during this season of Advent,” said Melissa Jolicoeur, principal. “Our whole school community eagerly anticipated this event, and we are thankful to our families and CSC for their generosity and effort!”
