Future Titans experience the spirit of Team Trinity
June 11, 2025
On Tuesday, May 27, Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School hosted the second annual “Team Trinity Jamboree,” welcoming students from St. Mother Teresa, Monsignor Leo Cleary, and Good Shepherd Catholic elementary schools for a day of community, connection, and inclusive fun.
The event offered visiting students the opportunity to experience a day in the life at Holy Trinity CSS and to see firsthand what it means to be part of “Team Trinity.”
Led by Katelyn Whittle’s Grade 12 Leadership class, students took part in a range of engaging and accessible activities carefully planned to ensure everyone could participate.
“The Team Trinity Jamboree is such a wonderful opportunity for the leadership students at our school to connect with future HT Titans,” Whittle said. “Our leaders are given the responsibility of developing and running all the inclusive events of the day. They create a welcoming atmosphere for these students living with exceptionalities and show them some of the exciting things that we do regularly in our physical education class. It’s a great day to make connections with families in our community and we hope to continue for years to come.”
The Jamboree began with a welcoming address before students were paired with Leadership mentors who guided them through games and stations set up across the gym and school.
Designed with inclusivity at its core, each activity promoted teamwork, creativity, and joy.
The event was capped off with a barbecue lunch provided by Monsignor Leo Cleary CES Principal Ian Kruis.
Born out of a vision to help students with exceptionalities ease into the high school environment, the Jamboree has quickly become a cherished tradition.
With its strong spirit of inclusion and leadership, the event is poised to continue for years to come.
