COVID-19 outbreak declared over at St. Francis of Assisi CES in Newcastle

The following letter has been sent to the St. Francis of Assisi CES community in Newcastle, informing staff and families that the school’s COVID-19 outbreak is over.
Dear Parents/Guardians and Staff,
I am pleased to inform you that the Durham Health Department has declared the outbreak over at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Elementary School.
The cases connected to the outbreak, which was declared on Nov. 12, 2021, have been resolved.
As always, we continue to follow all public health and provincial recommendations, including thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all areas; frequent and proper handwashing by everyone in the building; wearing masks; maintaining physical distancing to the fullest extent possible, and following any other steps directed by the Durham Health Department.
