CBC Classroom Challenge: St. Mary CES Campbellford performs Buffy Saint Marie
Each year, CBC Music & MusiCounts (charity of the Juno Awards) launch the CBC Music Class Challenge to engage music classes across the country.
Their goals are threefold: have students learning Canadian music in the classroom, draw attention to the exceptional work of music programs in this country, and to reinforce the importance of music in a well-rounded education.

This is the first year, the choir and band, grades 1 to 8, at St. Mary Catholic Elementary School in Campbellford entered the competition.

Registration for the 2018 Canadian Music Class Challenge has officially closed. The Top Tens in each of the competition’s seven categories will be announced on Tuesday, Dec. 11. Winners will be announced on Dec. 18.
