Dear St. Michael CES Staff and Families,

We are writing to provide a further update regarding the flooding that occurred at St. Michael Catholic Elementary School on Christmas Eve.

The cause of the flooding has been identified as a water main that entered the school. Repairs to the leak have been completed, along with remediation of affected areas. Final assessments are now underway.

At this time, we are optimistic that the school will be able to reopen to staff and students as scheduled on Monday, January 5, 2026. We will communicate again once final confirmation has been received.

We would like to thank our dedicated facilities team for their prompt response and continued work over the Christmas break to ensure the school is ready to welcome staff and students back safely.
