Last month, Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School’s Grade 12 World Religions students partnered with Good Shepherd Catholic Elementary School for a special faith-in-action initiative led by Principal Steve Smith.

Together, the schools hosted two engaging sessions: a Games Club for students in Grades 3 and 4, promoting fun and inclusion, and a Reading Buddy Program for Mr. Mundy’s Grade 1/2 class, where secondary students shared stories and encouragement with their younger peers.

“Witnessing the genuine joy and positive bonds of friendship blossom between our Good Shepherd CES students and the Holy TrinityCSS  Gr. 12 Religion class through the Games Club has been truly rewarding,” Smith said. “Our younger students not only gain a treasured older mentor to look up to but are also developing invaluable life skills alongside the fun of board games. This partnership is a beautiful reflection of our Catholic faith community in action.”

Father Daniel and Chaplain Miguel Preciado joined in the gatherings, witnessing the joy and connection among students.

The Grade 12 students will return in December to celebrate with a surprise Christmas party!
