Director's Office

The Peterborough Victoria Nothumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board is a leading provider of Catholic education, offering a comprehensive range of programs and services with a commitment to excellence in learning. Our Catholic school district educates approximately 14,500 students with a staff of over 2,000 employees.

School communities in our Catholic school district include suburban, small town and rural neighbourhoods. The Board is committed to the principles of equity and inclusivity enabling each student to learn and grow to his or her full potential. As a community of high-achieving learners, we embrace the strengths of students, staff and families from a variety of backgrounds, experiences and cultures.

Our long term goals are identified in the Board's Multi-Year Strategic Plan. The Plan has a focus on student achievement and well-being, the delivery of effective and appropriate educational programs and the effective stewardship of Board resources. The Multi-Year Strategic Plan is made operational through the yearly Director's Strategic Action Plan. This plan focuses the work of our schools and staff into five key areas - literacy and numeracy; equity; environment; engagement; and well-being - while continuing to meet the goals set out by our trustees. Activities of each year are highligted in the Director's Annual Report.

We believe that each student can experience high levels of success. We also believe in the importance of each staff member being able to perform in a safe and supportive working environment that supports and instills the desire to do his or her best.
