Parents
The Board believes that parents, students, and staff work together to create the best learning environment for our children. As a parent, you guide, influence, and support your child's education. We support families through shared beliefs, academic learning, and skill development. We believe in equity and inclusive education.
School education starts with registration. Parents of international students should read further details on special requirements. As an alternative education option, French immersion is available at several schools. Use our tool to find a school near you.

The Board transports approximately 9,200 students to school every day. Read about our transportation services.
Like all schools in Ontario, our curriculum is provided by the Ministry of Education. Read more about curriculum expectations for each grade
Throughout the year, teachers evaluate student progress using a variety of methods, and provide grades and other feedback to assess progress. Homework helps students retain information or learn important concepts. Parents are welcome to participate in the assessment process through parent-teacher conferences.
Our schools participate in many sports and athletics programs throughout the year, including Board-wide and Ontario-wide competitions. Competition dates for 2011-2012 are available.
