Be Well - Strategy for Mental Health & Well-Being 2014-2017

The Board recognizes that the mental health and well-being of our students is absolutely foundational to their academic success and to their ability to realize their full potential. In addition to our work in Equity and Inclusivity and Safe Schools which supports the safety and belonging of all students, we are pleased to have a Mental Health Strategy with a specific focus on:

  • Promoting positive mental health for all students
  • Building social-emotional skills
  • Reducing stigma around mental illness
  • Identifying and supporting students in need
Guidelines for selection of school-based mental health activities are available in this guide.
